Dr. Geoffrey Mariki was appointed member of the Board of Directors of EWURA in August, 2009 .
He has over 35 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer. He has experience in electricity power generation, distribution and supply. For the last 23 years he has been working in the industrial sector at the international level covering different aspects of energy and water supply and utilization for industrial development. He has experience in project and programme planning, implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation.
He has been a fully accredited diplomatic Representative and Chief of Mission of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization covering Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Eritrea. He has represented UNIDO in meetings of the African Union Summit of Heads of State and Government, the Governing Councils of UN-HABITAT, UNEP, ECA and the Global Environment Facility (GEF). He has supervised several hundred international experts engaged in project implementation in Africa, Latin America and Asia. He has experience in senior management including formulation of strategic plans, results-based management, human and financial management.
