Public inquiry is an official review of events or investigation held as part of legal proceedings over public concern for a particular issue. The aim of the public inquiry is to consult with public to get its views with regard to the tariff application in question.
At the public hearing, the applicant gets opportunity to present its application before the public. Registered interveners if any as well as other stakeholders including the Consumer Consultative Council, are given a chance to comment on the application. For details view Tariff Review Guidelines.
