The five year Strategic Plan (2012-13 to 2016-17) for EWURA has been prepared in compliance with the EWURA Act Cap. 414 and key national planning documents such as Vision 2025, MKUKUTA II and the Ruling Party Election Manifesto, just to mention a few. Through interactive workshops the second three year Strategic Plan 2008-2011 was reviewed and the current Strategic Plan was prepared.
The main Objectives of the five year Strategic Plan are:
to serve as a source of information and framework for reference for all stakeholders (including employees) so that they can be fully aware of, and as appropriate be engaged in, the processes of efficient and effective delivery of services ;
to lay down an agreed coherent strategic framework of key outcomes and objectives to govern the scheduling and implementation of activities and services which EWURA needs to deliver during the planning period;
to act as a working tool for the management team; and
to guide and organize operational inputs to achieve the outputs for each annual operating plan, and to agree on budgetary resources with the Board.
