The Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) held a meeting in Dodoma with the regulated service providers  under the electricity sub - sector, aiming to monitor the compliance with performance agreement for the electricity generation companies  within the country for FY 2024/25 and to establish implementation strategies for the FY 2025/26.

Opening the meeting on behalf of EWURA's Director General, Acting Director of Electricity, Eng. Aurea Bigirwamungu, stated that the meeting emphasizes key performance indicators related to safety, finance, generation, distribution and transmission of electricity, development projects, and customer service, as well as identifying improvements in transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

She explained that in 2024/25, EWURA signed performance agreements with these service providers inorder to monitor important aspects such as investment levels, availability, quality of electricity service, costs, generation efficiency, distribution, service expansion development, and customer service quality standards.
