EWURA publishes March 2026 petroleum prices cap prices

EWURA has published cap prices for petroleum products, applicable in Tanzania Mainland, effective from Wednesday, 4th March 2026 at 12:01 am.
The FOB reference prices used for March 2026, are those that prevail in the Arab Gulf market and have increased by 6.2 % for petrol, 9.8% for diesel and 7.4% for kerosene.
FOB prices and premiums are quoted in major foreign currencies, including the United States Dollar (USD). The applicable exchange rate for March 2026 prices increased by 8.54%.
Also, the premiums of products received through Dar es Salaam Port increased by an average of 0.07% for petrol, 10.76% for diesel and decreased by 5.41% for Kerosene. There are no changes at Tanga and Mtwara ports.
Wholesalers and etailers are required to sell petroleum products at prices indicated. Legal action will be taken against any retailer or wholesaler who fails to comply with these instructions.
Despite the ongoing war in the Middle East, the country currently has enough petroleum stocks for social and economic activities.
